Louvenia Teller Gipson March 17, 1929 - September 19, 2017

Louvenia (Lou) Theriot Teller Gipson, 88,  a native of Golden Meadow, LA, a resident of Sabine Pass for over 50 years, and Spring for the last several years, passed away, September19, 2017.

Visitation will held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, from 10:30 am till 12:30 pm with a Wake Service at 11:30 am at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Lou’s life will be celebrated at  1:00 pm  at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.  Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Mausoleum.

Lou is survived by her son Mike Teller (Paula Teller), daughters Pat Thompson (Ken Thompson), Candy Grimm (Ed Grimm), and Lou Ann Sanamo (Dennis Sanamo); brother Dudley Plaisance, sisters Amie Belle Duet, Eliska Plaisance, Jackie Pitre; thirteen grandchildren Shawn Halter, Michael Thompson, Kristi Westergard, Ryan Thompson, Bethany Teller, Candace Teller, Allison Teller, Corey Grimm, Edward Grimm IV, Christopher Grimm, Trisha Lee Alexander, Aaron Sanamo, and Brett Sanamo. Nine great grandchildren, Brett Moody, Corey Grimm II, Austin Grimm, Edward Grimm V, Audrey Grimm, Reagan Grimm, Tauryn Alexander, Tayden Alexander, Dawson Sanamo.

Lou is preceded in death by her husbands, Leroy Charles Teller and Jerry Gipson; parents Victor Theriot and Evida T. Theriot; her rearing mother, Celima Plaisance; son, Victor Raymond Teller; brother, Dickason Theriot; and sisters, Loredia (T-Lor) Terrebonne, Elenore Theriot, Enola Theriot, Gloria Miller, Janet Delph, and Judy Terrebonne.

Lou was a member of the Dick Dowling Lioness Club.

The family of Lou Teller Gipson would like to thank Roxanne Fletcher for 3 years of loving and compassionate care and assistance.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
