Anita Mae Hulin May 8, 1923 - November 18, 2014

Anita Mae Hulin, 91, of Groves passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. She was born on May 8, 1923 to Frances Wingerter DeCoursey and James Michael DeCoursey in Port Arthur, Texas. She attended Port Arthur High School and was a Pink Lady at St. Mary's for 5 years and served as President. Anita married John Wallace Hulin on June 2, 1940, they shared 72 years together before he passed away on June 11, 2012. Anita and Wallace enjoyed many years at their beach cabin in Crystal Beach and traveling. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 5 PM to 8 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 7 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 PM Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves with Rev. J. C. Coon serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. She is survived by her niece and nephew, Carolyn and Harold Lee of Orange along with many other nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Mary Santos for taking care of Anita and others who have worked with her. Also to River City Hospice and Southern Home Health and their staff of caretakers.
