Oscar Ortiz

Oscar Ortiz, 88, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at The Oaks in Beaumont. He was a resident of Port Arthur for most of his life. Oscar was born on February 1, 1926 to Jose Ortiz and Leonor Estrello Ortiz. Oscar was a retired laborer. Oscar proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Humberto Ortiz and Raul Ortiz; and a sister, Ophelia Ceja. Oscar is survived by four nieces, Christine Ruiz, Theresa Nieto, Pat Ortiz and Felice Solis and two nephews, Mario Martinez and John Ortiz. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a rosary prayed at 6:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens cemetery.
