Rita E. Suarez, 89 of Groves, passed away on March 16, 2012 in Alexanderia, Louisiana. She was born on December 1, 1922 in Donaldsonville, La., to Eva Martinez and Caliborne Gomez. Rita was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and Groves. She was the owner operator of several convince stores in the Golden Triangle. She was of the Catholic faith. Rita was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Joseph R, Suarez Jr. and Sue Ellen of Alexandria, La.
