Hilton H. Purser, 81, of Groves, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at his home. He was born April 6, 1930 to Mary Johnson Purser and Lucius Davis Purser in Port Arthur, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Hilton retired from Texaco as a greasemaker with over 40 years of service. He served as Union Steward affiliated with Local O.C.A.W. 4-23 and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Purser. He is survived by his loving wife, Aleissia Landry Purser of Groves, Texas, his daughters, Melissa Kay Simon and husband Thomas of Groves, Texas, Belinda Braquet and husband Kyle of Willis, Texas, his sons, Milton Purser and wife Joyce of Groves, Texas, Mark Purser of Groves, Texas, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Hugh Purser of California and David Purser of Utah along with several nieces and nephews.
