Epifania "Eppie" Moreno Elizondo, 82, of Port Arthur passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Gulf Health Care Center in Port Arthur. She was born January 6, 1929 to Leonides Castillo Moreno and T. O. Moreno in Port Arthur, Texas. Eppie was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Eppie was a devoted wife and mother who spent her life's work as a homemaker. She loved tending her plants and flowers and as "Momo" to her grandchildren, she was always patient, fun and loving. Sunday's after church were often met with the aroma of the result of her excellent cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Victor and Dan Moreno, her sister, Della Moreno, her husband, Johnny Elizondo and her daughter, Cynthia Elizondo. She is survived by her daughters, Irene Cooper of Nederland, Gloria Elizondo of Austin, Mary Helen Elizondo of Groves and Cathy Hammond and husband Tim of Mont Belvieu, her sons, Tom Elizondo and wife Darlene of Port Arthur, Steve Elizondo and wife Jami of Raliegh, North Carolina along with 14 grandchildren: Josh, Jeremy, Kyle, Gary, Alyssa, Derek, Angela, Shaun, Matthew, Jake, Brett, Lacey, Bailey and Marley as well as 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Rose Moreno of Austin, Sister Joseph Moreno of Taylor, Socorro Trudy Willett of Winnie, her brothers, Johnny Moreno of Vidor, Mike Moreno and wife Rosie of Nederland, Tony Moreno of Port Arthur along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
