Vera Kimbrough, 84, of Port Arthur passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Cypress Glen East Nursing Home in Port Arthur. She was born January 17, 1925 to Clara Luxon Cornelius and Ernest Cornelius in Trewoon, Cornwall, England. Vera has been a resident of Port Arthur since 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith. She is survived by her loving husband Gordon Kimbrough of Port Arthur, her daughters Diane Cook of Groves, Wanda Barrios and husband John of Magnolia, Texas, 5 grandchildren Valerie Vela, Pamela Martin, Sarah Epps, Shelley Metts and Janna Hart along with 9 great grandchildren Morgan and Maggie Vela, Aislyn and McKenna Martin, Kyler and Grant Metts, Ethan , Ella and Evan Hart. She is also survived by her sister Winifred Welch of Falmouth, Cornwall, England and her brother David Cornelius of Port Arthur as well as several nieces and nephews.
