Bernice Ann Broussard

Bernice Ann Broussard, 80, of Hemphill, Texas passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Legacies Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hemphill.

She was born on February 18, 1943 in Churchpoint, Louisiana. She was adopted by Armand Bourgeois and Gertie Olivier Bourgeois. Bernice was a longtime resident of Port Arthur before moving to Hemphill six years ago. She was a devoted homemaker in raising her family along with her husband, Carl. Bernice was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Bernice is survived by her loving husband, Carl J. Broussard of Hemphill; her two daughters, Kahla Broussard of Los Angeles, California and Jeanne Broussard of Phoenix, Arizona; her son, Brent Broussard of Galveston along with two grandchildren, Gabrielle Nicholas and Rex Broussard.

Service to honor Bernice’s life will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves.
