Chrystal Jenille Pearman, a beloved figure in her community, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at the age of 80, in her hometown of Port Arthur, Texas. Born on September 6, 1945, Chrystal graced the world with her warmth and creativity, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories for her friends and relatives.
Jenille dedicated many years of her professional life to Weiner's Department Store, where her gentle demeanor and friendly nature left a lasting impression on patrons and colleagues alike. She was not only an admirable employee but also an embodiment of the spirit of community, as she was known for welcoming friends and family into her home, especially during the festive Christmas season. Her renowned holiday decorations, inspired by her cherished red, white, and blue collections, created an atmosphere of joy and warmth that resonated with all who visited.
A graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Jenille nurtured her faith as a member of Central Baptist Church of Port Neches. Jenille held a deep love for animals, particularly cats, and found immense joy in gardening, where she proudly designed a picture-worthy landscape that transformed her modest yard into a paradise. Additionally, she had a passion for collecting dolls and Christmas decorations, which reflected her artistic vision and love for beauty.
Throughout her life, Jenille encountered both joy and sorrow. She was predeceased by her parents, Billy Jack and Ella Frances Johnson; her first husband, Jimmy Pearman, whom she married in 1964 and who passed away in 1999; her daughter, Laura Ann, who was stillborn in 1965; her second husband, Bill Brown, whom she married in 2000 until his passing in 2010; and her third husband, Ken Casterline, who left this world in 2020. Jenille and Bill shared a love for travel, reveling in their adventures together, which added joy to their lives.
She is survived by her beloved Aunt Olive Hall and numerous cousins, who will cherish her memory and the indelible mark she has left on their lives.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home located at 5200 39th Street in Groves, Texas. The service will commence at 2:00 PM and will celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched the hearts of so many. Chrystal Jenille Pearman will be deeply missed, and her legacy of kindness and creativity will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
