Etoyle Jane Tinney, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Winnsboro, Texas, at the age of 97. Born on October 18, 1928, in Birmingham, Alabama, she spent her formative years in a nurturing environment, surrounded by the love of her parents, Elbert Jefferson McCain and Iris Belle Isbell-McCain.

Etoyle dedicated much of her life to her family and her community. After moving to Groves in 1955, she became an active member of the First Baptist Church of Groves, where her faith was an essential part of her life. A strong advocate for education and family involvement, she served as an active member of the PTA, connecting with other parents and supporting the schooling of future generations.

Professionally, she worked diligently at Baptist Hospital, specializing in verifying health insurance, where her attentiveness and care had a lasting impact on many.

Etoyle was known for her artistic talents and enjoyed a wealth of hobbies. She found joy in crocheting, painting, and knitting, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and passion.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Becky Graves, and her three grandchildren: Blake Graves, Cody Graves, and Trent Graves, along with his wife, Jaden. Further enriching her legacy are her three great-grandchildren, Peyton Howell, Easton Howell, and Willow Graves, who will carry forth her spirit and values in their lives.

Etoyle is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Gordon D. Tinney, and her two sons, Gordon D. Tinney Jr. and Jeffrey K. Tinney. She also rejoins her brother, Ruel C. McCain. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A burial service will be held at Valhalla Cemetery located at 839 Wilkes Road, Birmingham, Alabama, where friends and family are invited to celebrate her remarkable life and honor her memory. Gone but never forgotten, may she rest in heavenly peace.
