In loving memory of Gustavo Abisai Rodriguez Garza Jr., who was born on March 11, 1991, in Port Arthur, Texas. He left this world on October 20, 2025, in Tyler, Texas, at the young age of 34. Gustavo was a beacon of joy and laughter, known for his bubbly personality and an ever-present smile that warmed the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Gustavo graduated from Memorial High School, where he cultivated dreams as grand as his spirit—he aspired to owning his own barbershop, a testament to his love for bringing style and flair to those around him. His passion for life extended beyond these ambitions, encompassing a variety of hobbies and interests. He was an enthusiast of cruising, boxing, and welding, often found jamming to the tunes of Z-Ro, SPM, and Lil Boosie. With a vibrant sense of humor, he would often entertain friends with his attempts to speak Spanish, even if perfection eluded him.

Gustavo's warm nature made an indelible impact on those fortunate enough to be in his circle. A beloved son, brother, and uncle, he cherished every moment spent with his family, particularly the joy he found in playing with his nephews. He will be fondly remembered for his quirky habit of hiding snacks under his pillow, sometimes pretending to sleepwalk just to indulge in more treats. His endearing personality, marked by a flair for dressing well, complete with starched pants, and a flirtatious charm, made him a friend to anyone he met.

He is survived by his father, Gustavo S. Rodriguez Sr.; his sisters, Salmai Rodriguez, Haziel Rodriguez, Sadrach Rodriguez, and Adlai Rodriguez; his brothers, Cesar Rodriguez, Stephen Rodriguez, and Itzel Rodriguez; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold dear the memories of his laughter, kindness, and unshakeable support.

Gustavo is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Marycruz Garza, who departed this life in 2009, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clayton Thompson Funeral Home located at 5200 39th Street, Groves, Texas, 77619. A graveside service will follow on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery, located at 3700 25th Street, Port Arthur, Texas, 77642.
