Irma Ruby Rosas, a beloved homemaker, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas. She was born on September 15, 1936, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Zeferino Diaz and Ruby Dana Carrillo-Diaz, whose love and teachings shaped the strong woman she became.
Irma's journey through life was guided by her unwavering faith and commitment to her family. A lifelong member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, she found strength and inspiration in her faith, imparting those values to her children and grandchildren. Her education at Thomas Jefferson High School laid the foundation for a life devoted to nurturing her loved ones, a role she embraced with grace and warmth.
Irma was not just a homemaker; she was the heart and soul of her family. Her passions included doing word searches, moments spent cheering for her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, and creating a loving home filled with laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories. She opened her heart and home to all, and her delightful spirit brought joy to everyone who knew her.
Throughout her life, Irma raised her children with unyielding love and support: her sons, Alfredo Rosas Jr. and Mario Rosas and his wife, Jessica; her daughters, Blanca Garcia and her husband, Alfredo, Dora Lynn Maldonado, and Toni Arthur Sifuentes and her husband, Sergio. She is fondly remembered by her sister Rosie Sandoval, her 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carry a piece of her loving heart.
Irma was predeceased by her husband, Alfredo Rosas Sr, and her daughters, Mary Lou Rosas-Garza and Cynthia Rosas, who will be lovingly remembered alongside her parents, Zeferino and Ruby. She also mourned the loss of her brothers, Ernest and Gilbert Diaz, and her sister, Juanita Diaz, who have now welcomed her into eternal rest.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Clayton - Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves, Texas, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a heartfelt funeral service at 11:00 AM. Irma Ruby Rosas will forever be venerated for her boundless love, infectious spirit, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be profoundly missed but eternally cherished in the memories of those she touched.
