Juan "Joe" Jose Dominguez, born on May 6, 1932, in Port Arthur, Texas, peacefully passed away on November 4, 2025, at his beloved hometown. Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known for his affable spirit and dedication to his family.
Joe dedicated a significant portion of his life to the oil industry, working as a machinist at Texaco. His career was marked by hard work and commitment, reflecting his personality traits of diligence and perseverance. Furthermore, he served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, a testament to his courage and sense of duty.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Joe cherished the time spent with his grandchildren, delighting in their activities and offering his unwavering support. His love and care will be remembered fondly through the treasured memories shared by his family. Joe also had a knack for crafting knives and found joy in yard work, pursuits that showcased his hands-on skills and dedication to his hobbies.
In addition to his family and career, Joe was actively involved in his community, serving as a member of the seniors and Amigos club at Our Lady of Guadalupe and participating in the Ace Car Club. These affiliations enriched his life and allowed him to forge lasting friendships.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Martha Morgan and her husband, Paul; son, Juan "Pepe" Dominguez and his wife, Beverly; son, Sergio Dominguez; son, Bobby Dominguez and his wife, Jenna; along with seven beloved grandchildren: Billy Morgan; Emily McCoy and her husband, Aaron; Jeremy Dominguez and his wife, Korinne; Tatum Hebert and her husband, Nathan; Taylor Dominguez; Anndi Dominguez; Drew Dominguez and one great-grandbaby on the way.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Socorro Dominguez; his parents, Dario and Carmen Dominguez; and his brother, David Dominguez. Their memories remain cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, located at 5200 West Parkway Street, Groves, Texas. A Rosary will begin at 6:30 PM. On Monday, November 10, 2025, a Mass celebrating Joe's life will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 3648 S. Sgt Lucian Adams Dr/61st St., Port Arthur, Texas, starting at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
The legacy of Juan “Joe” Jose Dominguez will forever remain a source of inspiration to his family and friends as they carry forward the values he imparted throughout his life.
