Karen Denise Cross, a devoted pharmacy technician and cherished family member, passed away on April 25, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. Born on March 8, 1963, in Port Arthur, Texas, Karen's life was marked by dedication to both her profession and her loved ones.
A proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 1981, Karen pursued a career in healthcare that spanned several respected institutions. She served with commitment and compassion as a Pharmacy Technician at The Medical Center of SETX, following earlier positions at Doctor’s Hospital and Renaissance Hospital. Her professionalism and caring nature left a lasting impression on all her colleagues.
Beyond her career, Karen was known for her love of cooking and dancing, passions that brought joy to her life and those around her. She treasured the time spent with family above all, considering her family to be her proudest accomplishment.
Karen is survived by her beloved mother, Geraldine Cross; her daughter, Anna Ramirez, and her husband, Anthony; her stepson, Fito Granados, and his wife, Maria; her stepdaughter, Jessica Hernandez; her brother, Kevin Cross; and niece, Christina Frazier. She was also a treasured presence in the lives of two great-nieces and two step-grandchildren who will carry memories of her warmth and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Cross, whose memory remains a guiding light for the family.
Friends and loved ones are invited to honor Karen’s memory during a visitation on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. located at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home located at 5200 West Parkway, Groves, Texas 77619.
Karen Denise Cross’s life was a testament to the joys of family, the fulfillment of meaningful work, and the simple pleasures of living fully. She will be remembered with deep affection and enduring respect. May her soul rest in peace.
