Karlyn Wallace, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, in Port Arthur, Texas. Born on August 31, 1941, Karlyn lived a life full of love and dedication, leaving behind a legacy cherished by her family and friends. She was the devoted wife of Roy Wallace for 62 wonderful years.

A proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Karlyn dedicated many years of her professional life to the banking industry. She served diligently at Sabine Bank for many years before becoming an Assistant Vice President at Chase Bank, where her commitment and expertise were highly valued. Karlyn was also a faithful member of the Church of Christ, finding strength and community in her faith.

Beyond her professional achievements, Karlyn was known for her vibrant spirit and many talents. She was a great homemaker and an exceptional cook, always ensuring her home was filled with warmth and delicious aromas. Karlyn found immense joy in traveling, crafting, and decorating, pursuits that brought beauty and creativity into her life. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose laughter and presence brought her the greatest happiness.

Karlyn's memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband, Roy Wallace; her daughters, Gena Guyote and her husband, Erich, and Kara Thibodeaux. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ericha Parish and her husband, Adam, Kaleigh Guyote, Kayla Thibodeaux, and Jacob Thibodeaux, as well as her great-grandchildren, Ramon Parish and Emma Parish. She leaves behind her brothers, Ron Louvier and Randy Louvier, and her special friend, Barbara Moak. Karlyn was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Norma Louvier.

Friends and family will gather to honor Karlyn’s memory. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, 5200 West Parkway, Groves, Texas, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m.
