Kristin Rose Hardin, age 51, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on February 25, 2026.
She was born on December 7, 1974, in Port Arthur, Texas, to James Hardin and Denise Placette Perron.
Kristin was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. She graduated from Bridge City High School in 1993. Kristin worked for many years in the medical industry. She had a strong attention to detail, especially in the financial departments of many local doctors’ offices, and cared deeply about helping others.
She is survived by her daughter, Emily Baker; her fiancé, Bryant Burr; her mother and stepfather, Denise and Donald Perron; her father and stepmother, James and Jane Hardin; her grandmother, Rose Nolan; her brother and sister-in-law, Lorin and Sybil Chamberlain; her brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Robin Hardin, and their children, Dylan Gabriel and Kodi Hardin; her sisters, Jennifer Fields and Carolyn Bowyer; her nephew, Nolan Chamberlain; her niece, Mariette Barner; her aunt and godmother, Tammy Lumpkin; and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Archie and Christine Hardin; Gordon Placette Sr.; and Philip Nolan.
Kristin will be remembered for her resilience and her caring nature toward others. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and family, reading, listening to music, cross-stitching, crocheting, taking care of her plants, and spending time with her dog, Nelly.
Visitation will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow. Burial will take place at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches immediately following the service.
The family will receive friends and extended family at Pathway Church Mid-County, 2326 Nederland Avenue in Port Neches, following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas in her honor.
