Lillian Jordan, a devoted homemaker and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, in Port Neches, Texas. Born on September 6, 1933, in Center, Texas, Lillian graced the lives of many with her warm spirit and nurturing heart.
Lillian's life was characterized by her deep commitment to family and community. She dedicated herself to her role as a homemaker, creating a loving and welcoming environment for her family in their home. Her passion for cooking filled not just her household with delightful aromas, but also left lasting memories in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share a meal with her. She was an active participant in her church, where she formed meaningful friendships, especially during the many hours spent playing dominoes with the ladies at church. These moments reflected her vibrant personality and love for connection.
Lillian's education was rooted in her strong values, having graduated from high school and being a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Groves. Her involvement in the Eastern Star WMU church group allowed her to foster lasting relationships and contribute to the spiritual growth of her community.
As we remember Lillian, we reflect on her love for family. She is survived by her son, Michael Jordan, and his wife, Rita; her son-in-law, Charles Donnaud; three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Each of these loved ones carries a piece of her legacy, shaped by the love and wisdom she imparted during her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jarrett Emanuel Luman and Mittie (Hedspeth) Luman; her beloved husband, Glenn Jordan; her daughter, Charlotte Donnaud; her brother, John Luman; and her sister, Choicy Hicks. Their memory will forever live on in the stories shared and the love cultivated.
We extend a special thank you to Ricky and Rose Sonnier and all her loving caregivers: Sophie, Marbelia, Skyra, and Elcie. Their compassionate support enriched her life, bringing her comfort and care in her final days.
