Lillian Marie Falgout LeBlanc, 101 years, 4 months and 19 days, of Houston, TX., formerly of Port Arthur, TX. went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 21, 2021 at her residence in Houston, TX. She was born in Jefferson Island, LA. on February 2, 1920 to Auralie and Agnes Falgout. Lillian went to work at the salt mines at Jefferson Island at the age of 16. During WWII, she worked there as a supervisor. She married Olden "Pete" LeBlanc on October 30, 1943. Lillian was a member of the Altar Society of Delcambre, LA. and St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Port Arthur, TX. She was a charter member of St. Catherine's in Port Arthur, TX. She was a devoted and doting mother and grandmother, as well as an avid reader and jigsaw puzzle solver. She enjoyed word searches and played many board games regularly into her 100's. Lillian was no pushover as she regularly won her fair share of games. She attended water aerobics into her 80's and drove her car into her 90's. She had a great memory for remembering birthdays of her nieces and nephews. Lillian loved to travel. She visited 46 of the 50 states and several foreign countries. She went on numerous vacations with her children. We used to tell her to let us know when she crossed a state border. She was still getting on her roof at 80! Lillian didn't mind having a drink now and then and it became a tradition in her later years to have Mexican food and a Margarita on her birthday each year!
Lillian was the last of her generation. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, all six of her siblings, Mable LeBlanc, Howard Falgout, Dr. Frank Falgout, Myrtis Thompson, John Murphy Falgout and Herman Falgout. three grandchildren, 17 in-laws, two nephews, and three sons-in-laws.
