Irene Williams, a beloved and cherished figure in the lives of many, gracefully departed this earthly realm on November 26, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on May 6, 1942, in Beaumont, Texas, her journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit of joy and generous love, which she shared abundantly with all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Irene's professional life as a dedicated Retail Sales Clerk reflected her inherent kindness and ability to connect with people. However, it was within the warmth of her home that her true essence shone. She relished entertaining guests, crafting memorable experiences filled with laughter and delightful culinary creations. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she often provided meals for friends and family alike, ensuring no one left her table without a full heart—and a full stomach.
Her personality was described as always happy, radiating love and compassion wherever she went. Irene embodied the profound qualities of a loving wife, devoted mother, and attentive friend, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to cross her path. She found great joy in crafting and could often be found uncovering treasures at garage sales, a reflection of her creative spirit and keen eye for beauty.
Irene’s proudest accomplishments lay not only in her professional career but also in the cherished relationships she nurtured throughout her life. She is survived by her devoted son, Gary Epps, her beloved granddaughters, Ashley and Emily Epps, and special friends: Karen and Ron Hawkins and Mark and Sandy Rizzato Sr, each of whom carries within them the legacy of her love and kindness.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, James F. Williams, along with her loving parents, Louis Oscar West and Delana Irene Gilstrad-West. Irene also mourned the loss of her son, Clay Epps, and daughter, Jeniece Epps, whose spirits remain close to her memory.
A graveside service to honor Irene's beautiful life will take place on December 3, 2025, at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas. Friends and family are invited to gather at 11:00 AM, as we celebrate a remarkable woman who brought light, kindness and love into this world.
