Orine Sweat

Orine Mckee Sweat, age 97, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026. She was born in Fullerton , Louisiana on March 14. 1928 to Earnest and Versie Mckee. There she met the love of her life, Morris R. Sweat and they were married on June 10, 1944, just before he left to serve his country in World War II. A marriage that would last for 61 years. When he returned from overseas, together they moved to Port Arthur, Texas, their home for the rest of their lives. 

Nothing was more precious to Orine than faith in God and family. She was always a blessing to family and friends alike. A beautiful mother to three children, a loving Grandmother and Great Grandmother, and a “wonderful cook”. She also worked outside the home, 15 years at Barkers as a department manager and 14 years at Market Basket in customer service. 

Orine is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Morris R. Sweat, sisters Earlene McMillan and Jimmie Lou Sweat, brothers James Mckee and Ronald Mckee. 

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children; James Sweat (Anita), Marcie Guarnere (Mike), and Kenneth Sweat (Cindy). Grandchildren: Misti Ellsworth (Blake), Dustin Guarnere (Shannon), Ashlee Vespucci (Jason), Kennon Sweat (Sophie), Ray Sweat (Jadlly), and James Louis Sweat. Great Grandchildren: Hudson Ellsworth, Creed Guarnere, Harper Ellsworth, Haiden Ellsworth, Chapel Guarnere, Jay Vespucci, Jolee Vespucci, Jaxx Vespucci, Claire Sweat, Kace Sweat and Remi Sweat. Sister: Yvonne Garlington
