Prangrat "Dang" Goodman, a cherished mother, grandmother, and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on March 25, 2026, in Port Neches, Texas. Born on October 21, 1945, in Bangkok, Thailand, she carried with her a rich heritage and a lifelong love for family, learning, and nurturing the world around her.
Dang’s life was marked by a gentle spirit and a remarkable talent as a seamstress. Her hands created a legacy of care and creativity. Ever inquisitive and eager to expand her horizons, she embraced new knowledge with enthusiasm, reflecting her vibrant and enduring spirit. Among her many joys, Dang loved to be in her garden, tending to the plants she so thoughtfully nurtured. Her passion for the culinary arts was evident in her love of cooking diverse ethnic foods, filling her home with warmth and delightful aromas that brought family and friends together. Wanting to make use of her time after her children began school, Dang worked as a hostess at China Inn restaurant in Groves, Texas. There she made countless friends, mentored coworkers and spread kindness to all who entered the doors. Her local community fell in love with her delightful greetings and warm smile as she welcomed them in.
Above all, Dang took immense pride in her family. She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Lisa Seaux and her husband Sean, and Paula Ryder and her husband Brett; and her devoted son, Billy Goodman, along with his wife Amber. Dang’s heart was further filled by her grandchildren: Hannah Binagia and her husband Jeremy; Callie Wright; Josh Wright and his wife Chelsey; Austin Seaux; Haden Ryder; Haley Ryder; Hope Ryder; Ethan Varnado; Brendan Goodman; and Bryce Goodman. Her great-grandchildren, Ridge Wright, Graysen Gentile-Wright, and Aubrey Wright, also carry forward her spirit and love.
Dang was preceded in death by her dear parents, Surin and Urai Sawangsilp, whose memories she cherished deeply. She also mourned the loss of her grandson, Cade Dawson Wright, whose life was treasured.
