William "Bill" Davis Hailey III, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this life on June 18, 2025, in Nederland, Texas, at the age of 72. Born on October 15, 1952, in Paducah, Kentucky, Bill embraced life with an infectious enthusiasm that touched all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Bill was devoted to his family and found joy in spending time with his grandchildren, Madison, Britton, Brady, and Briley. He had a passion for the great outdoors, often engaging in activities such as camping, fishing, and woodworking. Bill was also known for his love of building fires and attending rodeos, where he appreciated the energy and spirit of the events.
He had a strong Christian faith and served as a deacon at Groves Church of Christ earlier in his life. He dedicated many years to his career before entering retirement, a period during which he cultivated friendships and shared his warm personality with those around him. Bill's ability to engage in conversation with anyone he met was a testament to his genuine nature and warmth.
Bill leaves behind a loving family that includes his devoted wife, Deanna Hailey; his daughter, Melissa Gomez and husband Ashley, and his son, Bradly Hailey, along with his wife, Alicia; and his beloved grandchildren, Madison, Britton, Brady, and Briley. He is also survived by his mother, Shirley Reeves; his mother-in-law, Nina Burgess; his sister, Trish Landers and husband Wade and numerous other loving relatives and friends. ,
He was preceded in death by his father, William Hailey, Jr.; his father-in-law, Brady Burgess; brothers Clarence, Donald, and Milton Hailey; sisters Liz Ehler and Margaret Mahl; and his grandparents, Milton Miles and Margaret Brooks, William Davis Hailey and Ester Hailey.
A Celebration of Life service honoring Bill will be held on June 28, 2025, at Meadows Church of Christ in Beaumont, Texas. The ceremony will commence at 2:00 PM and will conclude at 4:00 PM. As friends and family gather to celebrate his life, they will share memories and stories that reflect the genuine spirit and love Bill brought to the world. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who cherished him.
