Willie Ernest Pietz Jr.

Willie Ernest “Bill” Pietz Jr., 79, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026. He was born on December 19, 1946, in Port Arthur, Texas.

Bill was a 1965 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and a veteran of the US Navy. After graduating with a business degree from Lamar University, he spent the bulk of his professional career as a pharmaceutical sales rep. He also owned several businesses in Port Arthur. He was a devoted Astros fan and a true dog lover, caring for many beloved canine companions throughout his life. His passion for dogs and his enthusiasm for his favorite baseball team brought joy to those around him.

He is survived by his son, Scott Jackson, and his wife, Danielle of Sugar Land; his

grandchildren, Drake Lamb and Gabrielle Jackson; and his brother, Robert Pietz, and his

wife, Debra of Brookeland.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Pietz Sr. and Margaret Louise Pietz, nee Elder.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral

service at 12:00 PM, both at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, 5200 W. Parkway,

Groves, Texas. A graveside service will take place at 12:15 PM at Greenlawn Memorial

Park. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas.
